The 2012 program of the D&F Academy Hamburg has been remarkable. The Global Issues Project featured Jane Goodall DBE and a focus on biodiversity; the Sports Project featured Jens Lehmann and a focus on sports-coaching; and the Arts & Culture Project with conductor Christoph Poppen currently features a focus on social change through music. Thousands of applicants resulted in outstanding Fellows from around 30 different countries. 2013 is approaching. And with it the 2013 series of amazing D&F Academy Hamburg Projects! We are super excited to be starting off with the Theater Project with director Nils Daniel Finckh. It also is a great honor to welcome peace-activist and three times Nobel Peace Prize nominee Dr. Scilla Elworthy for the Global Issues Project 2013. Both projects are now open for applications! Please share the news so that many diverse and talented young adults from around the world have the chance to apply. Keep in touch and take care,
Are you excited about reaching out to people through the medium of theater? Do you want to start a venture that will impact people in your home country? Or do you know passionate actors, social workers, activists or interested young people who share this dream? The D&F Academy offers fully funded fellowships for our Theater Project in Hamburg, Germany, with author and director Nils Daniel Finckh. Applications are now open to young people aged 18 and 28 worldwide. The one-year program is an opportunity for both professionals and young people who believe in change through creative processes and the power of theater action. The Fellows for the Theater Project will spend ten weeks from April to June 2013 in Hamburg. During that time, they investigate and learn with their project Friend and eminent Experts how they can use theater as a catalyst to give people a voice and to make social change in their societies happen. All tuition costs, as well travel expenses to the project in Hamburg, will be covered by the D&F Academy. During the following ten months, Fellows will have the unique opportunity to develop and implement a venture they are passionate about with the support of an innovative online curriculum and an experienced mentor. We hope you will apply or spread the word and forward information about this unique opportunity to members of your network! You can download a pdf with more information about the project here. Application deadline is January 7, 2013 (10 am, CET) |
